4. Knight

The Queen so pure and ever-loved
Bestowed upon me a vital-quite task
T'was to go and find a sacred book
Swept in the mists and hidden in a fog

I was to wade through a deep and cold bog
And slay a fierce beast, to free an old hag
Who was to tell me the place of a chest
And give me a spade to take care of the rest

And a chest did I find, and some more then
A bargain most rare and an offer so cruel
A beautiful maiden, sister of the lake
Had trapped me in arms and spoke to me of stars

"What is honor?" I had yelled then,
At the distant lights, that flickered in the dark
In my lovely captor's brace, I yielded wantingly
What is honor, I know not, and shame be upon my heart...

so I wish thee luck and stray not from thine path...
